1938 ZENITH Tube Radio Model 5S319, Beautiful Wood Cabinet EXTREMELY NICE

This is an extremely nice Zenith tube radio with a beautiful wood cabinet. This radio looks all original even the finish and you will have to look very hard to fine a blemish.

The same goes for the grill cloth, it is tight and clean and no tears. The knobs are original white Z and work as intended as do pushbuttons, push one in one pops out.

Also knobs are not cracked or brittle. It has a clean, secure 5 tube chassis, 6A8G, 6K6G, 6K7G, 6Q7G and6X5. I checked each tube and they all were above minimum value.

The power cord is also in good condition so I tried the radio but I got no reception. This is one of those where you know the station is there but it just doesn't come in.

What I can see of the speaker looks good and there was static and humming coming thru. It will need to be checked by a qualified radio technician to establish working order.

If I were to keep this I would have a cap job done and keep it forever. Radio measures about 13" W x 7 1/2" D x 9 H and weights about 11 LBS. I tried to take as many angles as I could so check the photos (zoom in) and if any questions please ask.
