1942 Zenith 2 Dial Model 5D-611 Working Bakelite - time capsule condition! This one is a real beauty! The case looks perfect for its age. It may have been restored based on the back panel which looks brand new and not original. It works intermittently for some strange reason. Sometimes when I plug it in it works fine as you can see in the video below. The video was taken 2/10/19. It appears complete and mostly original except for the backing as I mentioned and perhaps the plastic dial cover. See pictures for the rest of the story. The radio does work sometimes and sometimes it doesnt appear to get power. This may be an issue or it may be something very simple like a loose connection. Either way this is a magnificent piece of Americana that works great when its working. Reception is fantastic even without an antena.
