Beautifully restored Zenith model 6D510 vintage 1940 tube radio
It has great reception and will be a very nice addition (or start) to your vintage collection. Restoration details are below; thanks for looking. All tubes in the 6 tube chassis were tested and any defective or weak tubes have been replaced.
All paper and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. All out-of-tolerance resistors have been replaced. A new power cord was installed. The chassis has been cleaned and re-aligned for optimal performance.
The radio operates properly and provides good sound quality. The On/Volume and Tuning controls work smoothly and properly. An external antenna wire may be added on the back for more remote signal reception. The Bakelite cabinet is in excellent shape with no cracks, chips or scratches.
It has a nice tortoise shell handle. The knobs and dial pointer are original and in good shape. A new crystal clear dial cover has been installed. This is a 115 volt AC/DC set.
