Before continuing, if you could please click on. This radio design could have come right off the set of AMC's Mad Men. It has a Phono-Jack input that can be used to play an iPod or MP3 player - I tested it and it works great! For those unfamiliar with Zenith's 825 radio series. You have to hear it to believe it.

Zenith used a huge 7.5 speaker. To accomplish such wonderful sound. Represented advancement in sound performance from its predecessor - the 725 series - with an extra tube and adding Automatic Frequency Control (AFC). This radio paved the way toward Zenith's ultimate achievement in'High Fidelity' radio later that decade with the introduction of the Zenith C845 (Super Interlude) in 1959.

The T825 and its successive brethren the A825 and Y825 had a wide array of colors including. As you can hear/see from the video, this radios sounds amazing - this radio was one of Zeniths high end players in a crowded field - The best way to differentiate between the Zenith 725 & 835's is the speaker grill - the 725's had flat plastic mesh grills in either tan or dark burgundy - where as the 825's have a slightly conical-shaped speaker grill in a shiny brass-colored finish. All "Super-Symphony" models evolved from the Zenith "Symphony, " model 7H820 (1950), and before that, the 8H023 (1946). The metal dial bezels on these models are almost always in a state of heavy oxidation and sometimes even rust.

This is one has minimal oxidation - one of the better bezels I have seen on one of these models! And compare the bezels - this one is in really good condition - with only a few areas of oxidization - which give it just enough patina to look vintage - since the cabinet shines so bright!

Rarely are these models found in this good original condition! The 825 series Zenith's are considered the "Royalty of Radio". Every Zenith enthusiast should own at least one in their collection of high-performance tube radios! The T825 is a very solid, long lasting radio with amazing sound.

Cabinet is in nearly flawless condition. You can clearly see the stunningly clean cabinet and components. It will be difficult to find a better example! Clean and shiny center front round metal dial bezel.

The knobs, cord/plug, bezel, dial cover, dial pointer, & cabinet are ALL ORIGINAL! Even the original label is mostly intact on the bottom of the radio, plus the T825 stamp from the factory. As a 60 year old radio, you will find a blemish and imperfection on the sides, front, top, bottom and back - but nothing that detracts from the overall condition.
