Radio set you are viewing has been totally restored to it's original condition and is ready to bring another lifetimes listening pleasure; especially on FM where it plays in. You will be satisfied with this radio set because no detail inside OR outside has been overlooked in order to deliver both "dependable performance" and appealing cabinetry. Every effort has been made to offer a practically new radio, performing as it did originally, and to be maintenance free for quite some time. The cabinet is beige styrene (not painted beige) with an ivory plastic & gold deco station front, knobs are matching ivory plastic. The original grille cloth has been dry cleaned using alcohol to remove decades of air pollution. In fact, the entire radio was dismantled in order to clean out 60 years of grime from chassis, cabinet, and station dial components using very labor intensive methods. The cabinet, measuring 13.5" x 8" x 9high, is now in excellent condition. The 4" x 6" speaker was re-coned and delivers with gusto. Check out all the photos. The electronics inside the chassis are in superb working condition after a thorough overhaul which included replacing the expensive filter capacitor which is the round black can on top of the chassis that says "RICHEY AUDIO". The dial string is new. This radio uses 7 tubes. All seven tubes are "new old stock". The last photo shows perfectly balanced FM circuits. In addition, included will be a male plug for your MP3 player. You will be able to stream your classic MP3 music right into the RCA connector in the back of this radio's chassis.
Designed this model to utilize an internal antenna for FM. That means, the FM antenna is linked to the AC power cord wire. Accordingly, moving the power cord will change reception on FM.
I used an extra long power cord to enhance this feature. Thoroughly bench tested, this quality. Radio set is ready for it's new home.
