PILOT LAMP OVER POWER KNOB WORKS. THE TUNING STRING IS OFF TRACK, SO THAT WILL NEED ATTENTION, YOU CAN MANUALLY TUNE IT BY MOVING THE INDICATOR POINTER. BRASS DIAL STILL HAS ALL STATION LETTER IS DECENT CLEAR SHAPE. BAKELITE CASE IS NOT CRACKED OR CHIPPED, AND IT DOES SHINE UP NICELY. GOOD POWER CORD AND PLUG. I HAVE NOT OPENED UP THIS RADIO. AS FAR AS I KNOW IT REMAINS ALL ORIGINAL. THE HANDLE IS IN TACK BUT I WOULD NOT TRUST IT TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THIS RADIO ALONE. IT IS A 70 YEAR OLD ELECTRICAL ITEM. IF YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS AS IS, THEN PERHAPS IT IS NOT FOR YOU. THIS IS A NICE SURVIVOR.
