I don't see a model number on it but one man wrote regarding the chassis number 6T41Z that corresponds to a model number Y600L from 1956 to 1959. Those years also correspond well to the last patent from a list posted inside the radio, number 2,709,301 that was issued in 1955. The other bands hum or have a static sound as I don't think anyone is broadcasting. One band, I think it was the 2-4MC had what sounded like a repeating pattern of beeps a little like the dots (no dashes) of Morse code around the 2.4 mark on the dial. I doubt that's what is was but mention it by way of description.

See my condition description above too. I mentioned that the round knob sticks (slips) after moving a little.

I can move the needle some but then it will stop. I can open up the back and move the needle across the entire range of the band with small pliers on the wire that controls it (moves freely) but I think the knob needs to be secured more tightly. I did not want to try to do this by removing the knob and using super glue as someone else may have a replacement or want to secure it more another way, perhaps a thin plastic shim in the hole of the knob would work. I would think it could be replaced. I think someone who knows how could fix these 2 problems rather quickly.

The leather case, considering the age is in nice condition with a few minor scuffs and small spots. I was surprised that the speaker has some nice bass sound to it. Please look at all the pictures with magnification as they are part of the description and look at all the descriptions and ASK QUESTIONS if needed. I sell all my items whether new, vintage or antique in As-Is condition.
