1937 Zenith Model 6 S 222. The original "Cube" Table Radio.

Designed and manufactured by the Zenith Radio Corporation. This set is a very clear sounding 6 tube radio. This set has been completely restored. All the electrolytics have been replaced, resistors tested and all within the allowed 20 % tolerance.

All of the tubes have been tested and are as follows : 6A8, 6K7, 6F5, 6F6, 6H6, and the 5Y4 rectifier. It will be necessary to connect an antenna extension to the "A" post on the back of the chassis. This allows a stronger reception of local stations.

The speaker is a 6 inch mounted unit , original to this set, and it is in excellent condition as you can see by the photos. I have checked all of the cabinet joints for weakness or cracking and sealed for protection inside.

The overall finish process was applied, beginning with a High Build, High Gloss Sanding Sealer in the preparation process and the final finish is a Real Lacquer finish sealer with. Some very light toning for balance only. All of our cabinets are restored inside and out. The dimensions are 14.0 " in width, 11.5" in height, and 10.5 in depth. It weighs approximately 18.0 lbs.
