For sale is this nice Zenith tombstone radio. The model number is 5S127 and it was built in 1936.

The radio will need some electrical servicing but looks very restorable. The dial and dial glass are in excellent condition. The large black dial displays multiple colors nicely when lit. The speaker looks fine with maybe a couple of small repairs, hard to tell.

The grill cloth may be original. All the shafts turn but the tuning belt slips or is not there. The cabinet is in very good condition overall. The sides are excellent and the front and top show a some wear but are pretty good. It's an ideal project for someone to tackle over the winter months while Covid still is dominate. The 5S127 is a very desirable model and in the right hands this one could become a real standout. The radio will be well packed, double boxed and fully insured to arrive safely.
