1951 Zenith H725 Vintage Valve Tube AM FM Bakelite Radio Restored Working
The outside bakelite has been cleaned, but has a few marks as shown in the photos. All of the paper capacitors were replaced with 630V Mylar film capacitors. The electrolytic capacitors were replaced with Made in USA Sprague ATOM capacitors. The foam surround was replaced with a new glue up foam ring around the back of the tuning and speaker grille.
The power cord was replaced with a polarized plug for safety. Any wiring that had bare wires was replaced with new cloth covered wire. The antenna wire has also been replaced with new cloth covered wire. One of the back mounting clips was replaced. The front dial has rust spots and heavy scratches.
The rest of the radio is in good shape for it's age. The radio powers on and is able to tune in stations. The radio plays radio stations well and does not have any hum since the capacitors have all been replaced. The back cover will need to be removed in order to remove the bubble wrap from the tubes prior to plugging in the radio. Please do not leave feedback without contacting us first.
