Once you turn unit on for at least a couple minutes and tune into exact station, station is clear and don't hear any buzzing using brown knob on side of unit to adjust tone/clarity. In Erie, Pennsylvania (zip code 16506), I could clearly tune in to about 22 channels all around the FM dial when it was placed by the window on the first/ground floor of the house. The brown knob on the right side of the unit turns to make the stations clear. For those unfamiliar with vintage tube radios, this is a fragile item and must be handled with care.
