Antique Zenith 5-S-319 Vintage Tube Radio Restored & Working Race Track Dial

Up for sale is one of my favorite Zenith models the 5S319, made in 1938. This radio has been electrically restored to play like new! Im located near Cleveland, Ohio. Ive taken a lot of time going over this radio.

All of the paper capacitors were replaced, as well as the filter capacitors. All of the tubes checked out good. The tuner and push-button assembly were disassembled, cleaned and lubricated.

Electronic alignment was performed to factory specifications with the proper test equipment. I replaced the rubber gasket that supports the dial glass with reproduction rubber material. I also replaced the speaker grill cloth, with vintage reproduction grille cloth. The original cloth-covered antenna wire is connected and functional, including the cardboard core around which its rolled. The power cord was replaced.

All of the pushbuttons and knobs are original one of the knobs has a chip missing, but the knob is intact. The pushbutton station selectors can be tuned to your favorite stations very easily from the front of the radio. The finish on the cabinet is completely original I cleaned it and applied a couple coats of Johnsons paste wax. I suppose it could be refinished, but as they say - - its only original once! Ill leave that up to the new owner.

I left the old filters in the chassis for authenticity sake, but disconnected them. Im also including all the replaced paper caps in a baggie in case youd want to save them as well. This will be double-boxed and well padded for safe transport to its new home.
