This 1939 art deco gem from Zenith is bursting with truly unique visual appeal and comes complete with the original wavemagnet antenna. Exceptional black bakelite featuring a stylish waterfall cabinet design complimented by wrap around grille bars. This 6 tube Zenith radio packs a perfectly blended balance of strong audio and great selectivity.
It measures 6 3/4" tall X 10" wide X 9 deep. This is a fully restored and working radio that is ready to play, display and enjoy for years to come. In the interest of safety, performance and reliability, the chassis electronics were thoroughly overhauled and gone over to include the replacement of all capacitors, out of tolerance resistors and replacing any weak tubes.Quality parts and tools are used every step of the way. A brand new power cord is also added to replace the unsafe and brittle original. The signal strength has also been aligned to factory specs to provide you with solid peak performance. Thoroughly bench tested to ensure the dependability you've come to expect in a proper tube radio restoration with the end result being to deliver the listening pleasure of that unmistakable tube driven sound.
It performs beautifully and smoothly with excellent reception up and down the dial and clear hum free tone. H and rubbed and polished back to its original and natural reflectivity.
Historically accurate in appearance (no wild and crazy color schemes). No cracks, breaks or chips. The brass Zenith badge has been polished to a glowing luster. This radio comes complete with the original Zenith'Wavemagnet' antenna back attachment which has been repainted and color matched to the same'Zenith gold' that it once was. No'quick shine' tricks are used and no shortcuts are taken.
With each of my hand polished radio cabinets I invest significant time and attention to detail in order to bring you a radio that is worth displaying in your prized collection or proudly accenting your home or office decor. This radio comes complete with the original knobs. Each has been re-painted to an aged antique ivory white that is so much more visually pleasing instead of the often over-used bright white that so many restorers of this particular set use. Very eye catching art deco numbering on the dial scale is easy to read with no flaking or fading and complimented by a simple but stylish black dial pointer.
