Four of six tubes required replacement. A number of out of tolerance resistors were replaced. A new #47 pilot bulb was installed.
A new, clear dial cover was made for the radio. Observe all photos carefully and with sharp scrutiny. Similar in style to Zenith's wood version the 6D030 which was styled by designers Charles and Ray Eames. The two versions are very alike and manufactured during the same mid century era.
However, I have not been able to find a direct link confirming if this plastic version of the Eames designed wood radio was influenced by the Eames outfit. The two radios are both visually and electronically similar. This is a very attractive display piece. The body was cleaned and polished. It has been paste waxed and buffed.
Has a new, jazzy dial cloth which replaced the original black cloth. There is a working red pilot light. Please see the photo exhibiting two very fine hairlines.
