HAUNTED VINTAGE RADIO General Electric H-520 The Tombine With Ghostly Faces

GENERAL ELECTRIC Model H-520 - "The Turbine" 1939. Working and Haunted with Ghostly Faces, Boo! GE produced a lot of radio models, but none as distinctive and stylish as the "Turbine" lineup from 1939.

They were not only a great design, but these late 1930's sets had incredible brown and tan mottling in the cabinets. This one is in wonderful condition. The dial lamp shines thru the ivory dial wheel when the radio is turned on, creating quite a striking effect. This model came without a built-in loop antenna, so it used an extended antenna wire. The case is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or hairline cracks. All push buttons & knobs are original. Note: It also has a perfect reproduction back.

It's a very small radio at about 9"W x 5-1/2"H x 5D. All our radios have undergone a-comprehensive cleaning process of the chassis, cases, dials, etc. Cosmetic restorations are done when needed and when-possible. However, we do not do electronic repairs or restorations.

When the information is available, we-describe whether the radio is working or not. We describe all-known damages to the inside or outside of the radio.

Cracks or chips are-frequently obvious and are described. But some are not, and they could be-missed during our inspection.

These are inherently used radios that are in-many cases over 50 years old. They are fragile and should be handle-with care. Electronics of tube radios are unreliable and dangerous. If you are not familiar with vintage electronics, ask for advice from-experts.

We use and recommend protecting plastic-radios with TRINOVA (Plastic and Trim Restorer) available at Amazon. It is-a liquid solution that protects the plastics from the elements, provides-darkness and shine to the cases, and prevents aging and fading of colors. Remember the King It is Now or-Never.
