It sounds nothing short of phenomenal powered by 12 tubes.

This is not the more common 11 tube version. It has a working Phono-input that can be used with your MP3 Player, smartphone, or iPod. I tested it and it works flawlessly. The MJ1035 was marketed as Zeniths most high end flagship table radio in the early to middle 1960s.

It has a total of 4 loudspeakers! You have to hear it to believe it! Is almost never found electronically restored and in such nice condition cosmetically like this particular example. The remote speaker is also rarely included and when it is its usually in poor condition or not even functioning.

It's in near mint condition and functions flawlessly. And with the electronic serviced! Rarely are these models found with the cabinet in this good condition and almost never are they found electronically serviced! The wood on the cabinet is in very nice shape only very minor wear. Even the silver plastic trim that surrounds the top and bottom of the radio front is nearly flawless these are usually prone to chips.

NOW for your listening pleasure. As you can hear, this radio sounds amazing! This radio has been electronically serviced by an expert radio restorer. Tubes were checked and were strong, One foot was missing so a new one was added (part plastic and part felt pad to get the desired height), the extension speaker was replaced with a newer vintage zenith speaker, the volume controls were cleaned and lubricated. From 1963 that was used to market the MJ1035. Its ready for framing and a nice accompaniment to your radio. Zenith Collectors that have considered this model in the past but have not found a worthy enough example now is your chance! For those unfamiliar with the MJ1035-1 Stereo Symphonaire the sound is phenomenal. It uses a 7.5 Woofer and 5 Tweeter in BOTH the main radio cabinet AND the remote speaker cabinet all 4 speakers were tested and work. As a result this radio really represented the pinnacle of achievement of Zeniths High Fidelity sound efforts.

The sound is more Mellow than the Zenith 845s. The MJ1035 was later replaced by a lessor version (the MJ1035-1) which only had 11 tubes and the tube line up was slightly different. This model is considered the "Royalty of Radio". Every Zenith enthusiast should own one in their collection of high-performance tube radios!
