The Model, the Zenith 7S633 was one of the last models to leave the factory before the company transitioned to war time production. A high end'Quarter console model - (table model) it had a lot in common with its larger console sister radios, but was within reach from a price standpoint - it had the presence without the price and Bulk. This particular example is stunning to look at - looks to be an all original exterior case and it even has the original back intact - which is very uncommon. The electronics have been Serviced and the radio works great.
It is a 7 tube model, with a large 6 inch speaker. It has 2 shortwave bands and a broadcast band. (I used my own longwire antenna). This Zenith is a great find for Collectors of WW2 era and early Mid Century collectible antique electronics. It was serviced by a professional, an older gentleman that's been working on radios for years.
He replaced the plug / cord, all tubes checked and any weak ones replaced, dial lamp was replaced, controls were cleaned and lubricated and the tuner was aligned, new period appropriate grill cloth was installed. It is ready for years of enjoyment. A Great Opportunity for collectors! It won't last long at this price - these models are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition.
