The finish on the cabinet is original and looks equally as good. It even has the outer rear back panel... It plays with minimal 60 cycle hum noise....

The AC cord is frayed... But of course should be replaced. Note that even though this radio works well, of course it could perform better if someone who knows what they're doing would go though and check/replace tubes as needed. Also could replace the burnt out dial lamps... As they're replacing the frayed AC cord. Overall a nice original set that looks fantastic and plays too! Free local pick-up in the Denver, CO area. Item does not meet your expectations UPON initial receipt.
