Vintage Zenith model G725 AM/FM radio refurbished

This radio plays well - it has a surprisingly good sound for a radio from that era. It will pull in strong/nearby FM stations without an external antenna connected, for weaker stations you'll need an external antenna. The radio has been cleaned inside and out and some lettering on the front was touched up. It has NOT been repainted or anything. Almost all (all but one) paper/wax capacitors have been replaced. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. Unsafe wiring (in other words wiring of which the insulation had fallen off) INSIDE the radio has been replaced.

Note that the power cord has NOT been replaced. Four of the seven tubes were replaced with NOS ones: 2x 12BA6, 1x 12AU6, 1x 19T8, the others (12BA6, 12AT7, 35B5) tested good. The radio has been tested for 12 hours. Note that this radio meets the electrical safety standards of the early fifties, it does NOT meet today's electrical safety standards. No electrical circuit changes have been made, it's s still per the original schematics (see photo 8).
