Antique Vintage 1940 ZENITH Model 5G403 Long Distance Wave Magnet Wood Case Bakelite Handles Portable Table Tube Radio AS IS. Antique from 1940's portable tube radio by ZENITH. It marked inside on the cover model "5G403". Also there is a metal label inside of the case that says: Made in U. The case is made of solid wood. Decorative veneer on top and on the bottom is made from different wood. This Art Deco style radio has grille area on one side and tuning knobs on another side.

The tuning knobs are made of Bakelite. With Zenith logo on top. There is also two jacks for headphones on top of the tuning knobs. Inside of the radio is wave magnet antenna (see photo).

The radio is 9.5" tall, 11.5" long and 7.5 deep. It weighs 11.2 lbs. Great looking antique portable radio to be displayed as collector piece or for decoration.

The wood cabinet is in good condition, the front looks great. The veneer is in good condition. There is some discoloration on the top and on the sides (see photos).

The handle on top of the radio looks great. We cleaned the radio inside and outside. We turned the radio on and the power tube was working. The other tubes have to be tested. The tuning knob feel a little bit loose.

The antenna also has a lot of wear (see photos). M a smoke-free and pet-free home. This radio with great care to prevent any damage. Please read multiple feedbacks of our happy customers.
