Zenith 10S130 Deco Large Black Dial Tombstone Tube Radio

This is a Zenith 10S130 big Black Dial Tombstone from 1937. This is one of the biggest tombstone radios Zenith made in the pre-war era. Very nice design with 10 tubes and 6L6s for output. It has a target tuning meter and a smooth weighted tuning selector.

This set is in fair condition with some obvious cosmetic issues. It is missing knobs, needs a new dial glass, grill cloth, and has some cabinet veneer repair (on the left side) and scratches. The speaker looks to have a repair as well.

It needs some work, but this is a fairly uncommon set, and would be worth the effort. The electronics were restored back in the 70s by a local technician, and it is a strong player. I was surprised at the volume this set is capable of.

Tunes in many stations and sounds quite good. It is quite large (23"x16"x13) and weighs about 41 pounds. It will be well packed to arrive in the condition you see here. If you are planning on spending time on a restoration project, this is an excellent candidate.
