This radio has been electrically restored. All electrolytic and paper capacitors have been replaced with high quality modern components. Tubes, resistors, and other electronic parts were tested and replaced if out of tolerance. The radio was professionally aligned to factory specs, and all the controls and switches were cleaned and lubricated. The set was designed to us A/C power or batteries so it has a power cord and can be plugged into a wall socket.

The wave magnet antenna is highly directional and the radio is very sensitive. This radio was made long before we had so many electrical devices in our homes. Also the current power line voltage to our homes was much lower back in the 40s when this radio was made.

As such you may experience some noise interference between stations. This is not the fault of the radio. It is a factor of the electrical environment in the 21. I have been restoring old radios for over 35 years. I used to fix them and put them on a shelf where they were rarely played.
