Zenith 6S330 Wood Tombstone ST Tube Radio Working OEM Knobs Unrestored
Nice complete Zenith 6S330 "Stars and Stripes" tombstone radio from 1938. I did power up watching the current draw and volts and it will play, There was surprisingly no hum although I only had it powered up for about two minutes and cannot recommend you doing so unless you're watching it very closely. There is no tuning belt, But is the tuning gears are moved by hand it will pull in a strong local station. This is an easy restoration for those of you starting out, (If you're careful) to not alter the wiring while you're recapping and changing out the resistors. I have collected way too many radios and I have to part with a few. The dial is in FANTASTIC shape, No holes or cracks, Clean speaker and grill cloth as well as a nice compete set of the proper original Zenith wooden knobs along with original dial glass and pointers. This set is well worth me parting it out for all the great parts and transformer and ST style tubes. BUT I really would hate to do that, I prefer to leave good sets complete. The cabinet is strong and in good shape. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
