All of our restored radios will be given full inspection to ALL components and ALL checked and replaced where needed, including all adjustments done with the proper test equipment and refined tuning for a restored optimum performance! Only in certain cases will we sell sets from estate sales ect.

On a "AS IS " bases and this will be stated in the description BELOW! Its that time of year again! How good would this look sitting under the tree on Christmas morning?

This is an investment grade collectible Depression era all wood radio, with design features that are stunningly Ornate! Gorgeous Deco brass dial trim accents and original chassis with minor surface rust treated with rust inhibitors. All original wood Z knobs, and original factory hardware. Exhibiting gorgeous highly polished veneer!

NOT the Candy coated look! C-1936, fast approaching 85 years old and remarkably still working. His is a project i started back over a year ago and have been working on and off for what seemed eternal!! The grill cloth was in excellent original condition , but the cabinet was a disaster..

Almost all of the wood sets i restore i try to keep as close to original without going the whole nine yards removing the finish in the interest of "Originality" We had no choice with this one!! I think you will agree by looking at this stunning restoration that i spent a significant amount of time on this gorgeous radio! There is one small area on top where the veneer has bubbled up very slightly, this is minor and hardly noticed, very clean for this 80+ year vintage. This set is for the avid radio enthusiast and purist antique radio collector that understands the amount of TLC that goes into such a venture!

The chassis is in very good condition aside from the minor treated surface rust in spots, there were no major repairs done over its life and judging the components used i would say this set did not have lots of stressed components. We replaced all of the vital caps as needed along with new filters. All tubes tested excellent , some were replaced obviously over its life! Notice the brass dial accent escutcheon was painstakingly polished to bring out the natural gloss of the brass, i have seen many restorers of this model just paint them black, looks neat but not even close to original. The overall look now is lighter than the original deep Walnut color, however very close example and all detailed to the "T"... The only NON original items will be the power cord that needed to be replaced with a repro of the same style cloth covered and a period style 30s vintage plug end! The final item that needed attention was the Speaker, we removed the original and sent it out for a brand new re cone and replaced the matching transformer as shown in the photo! Nice sounding audio, and Stunning multi colored ICONIC dial that is second to none, This restored GEM speaks for itself. You will be purchasing a true Restored CONDITION working part of early American history to display as a centerpiece in any vintage radio collection, truly near 85 year ANTIQUE to enjoy for generations!
