Its that time of year again! How good would this look sitting under the tree on Christmas morning? This is an investment grade collectible Depression era all wood radio, with design features that are stunningly Ornate!
Gorgeous Deco brass dial trim accents and original clean restored chassis. All original wood knobs, and original factory hardware. Exhibiting gorgeous highly polished two tone color walnut and mahogany hue! NOT the Candy coated look!
C-1934, fast approaching 85 years old and remarkably still working. Almost all of the wood sets i restore i try to keep as close to original without going the whole nine yards removing the finish in the interest of "Originality" We had no choice with this one!! I think you will agree by looking at this stunning restoration that i spent a significant amount of time on this gorgeous radio!
Very clean in and out for this 80+ year vintage. Still retains the original grill cloth!! This set is for the avid radio enthusiast and purist antique radio collector that understands the amount of TLC that goes into such a venture! The chassis is in very good condition We replaced all of the vital caps as needed along with new filters.
All tubes tested excellent , some were replaced obviously over its life! Notice the brass dial accent escutcheon was painstakingly polished to bring out the natural gloss of the brass, i have seen many restorers of this model just paint them black , looks neat but not even close to original. The overall look now is slightly lighter than the original deep Walnut color, however very close example and all detailed to the "T"... The power cord has its original outer cloth cover however some areas were fried and needed to be covered, the inner coated wires are fine and safe for use. This is a stunning example of a depression era Classic Tombstone design that is virtually ageless! Nice sounding audio, and Stunning ICONIC "Z" dial!!

Eri cans did while listening to that very same radio! Our goals here are for the preservation of antique radios, some may have minor flaws that are worthy of a saving restoration and always pointed out and CLEARLY photographed in our descriptions, our philosophy here is the preservation of and saving a part of Americana for everyone to enjoy, not always purchasing near perfect sets to restore and sell for maximum profit. We offer those from time to time too folks! We do this for a hobby NOT a living..
