Zenith G500 Trans-Oceanic Restored Electronics & Cosmetics

This G500 has been restored both the electronics and cosmetics. The paper capacitors were replaced with modern film capacitors.

A FILT-R-PAK + has been installed, which is a circuit board under the chassis that contains all the filter capacitors, a modern silicon rectifier to replace the old selenium rectifier, and power resistor. The tubes were tested and replaced where necessary.

The radio brings in stations on all the bands. The radio was tested on a working battery, and it functions properly. The rubber bushings in the speaker mounting and the tuning condenser were replaced. The top tuning string was replaced.

The IF and RF frequencies were realigned. The cabinet was cleaned and treated with black shoe dye and black shoe polish. All the plastic was polished to like new condition with plastic polish. The brass parts were cleaned and polished, then treated to prevent tarnish. The wave rod antenna is straight, the catch near the top functions well. Feel free to make a reasonable offer.
