Zenith Radio 9S367 Robot Shutter Dial Zephyr

Zenith Radio 9S367 Robot Shutter Dial "Zephyr". Large and impressive 9 tube three-band console radio from 1939. Radiorgan - the tabs are used to control tone, turn on/ off. Transcontinental Tip-Touch Automatic Tuning, allowing instant selection of one of eight preset stations when the band-lever is in the'automatic' position. Golden speaker cover that adjusts the macro volume / tone.

Input for a Bluetooth receiver, TV, LP, CD, electric guitar, etc. This aux input is controlled by tuning to a weak station or police band. The chassis has been completely gone through. The tuner was removed, cleaned, and re-lubricated.

All capacitors (except a few Mica) have been replaced, as well as all out-of-tolerance resistors, and all bad wiring. The tubes were checked, and any weak ones were replaced. The radio was then re-aligned to factory specifications, and receives stations all across the dial. The cabinet was cleaned and refinished to the original patina, re-stained, and various shades of toner were applied.

It was then given several coats of lacquer. PLEASE NOTE: This set is located in Sugar Grove, Illinois and can be picked up there. It measures 42.5"h x 27"w x 15.5d, and absolutely commands attention wherever you put it - and that's before you turn it on! Pick-up only on this radio.

Which seems to be the lowest cost.
