This is a Zenith 6s229 tombstone. It appears to be a halfway completed restoration as there is a new power cord and some fresh tubes installed, but is not complete as it's missing the knobs.
One interesting thing I noticed on this radio are some station markers on the metal escutcheon. I'm not sure if these are after market from Zenith or not, but thought they were interesting. You can see them in the picture at about the 4 o'clock position of the dial. They can slide around to any position on the escutcheon. All the controls appear to work except the tuning knob which seems to have a broken belt. The cabinet has a few nicks and scratches, but is in pretty decent shape along with the speaker cloth. The speaker is in good shape but the wires could use some proper shrink wrap as they have some yellow tape on them right now.It did not emit a loud hum, so based on sound alone, it seems it may have had it's large capacitors replaced while they were replacing the power cord.
