ZENITH TOMBSTONE TUBE RADIO 1938 MODEL 12-S-232 WALTON FULLY RESTORED
Zenith Tombstone Radio 1938 Model 12-S-232 Walton fully restored. This Tombstone Radio is also known as The Walton as used in the TV series The Waltons. The 12 tube radio has been fully restored both cosmetically and electronically.
The radio chassis has been gone through and been brought up to original specifications. The GREEN TUNING EYE shows the while being tuned. The TUNING MOTOR has been cleaned and oiled. The Black Robot or shutter dial is deep black with bright vivid white numbering.
The Five Knobs control as follows. The middle top knob is for tone control. The right lower knob is for on-off and local or long distance. The left lower knob is for volume control. The Middle Tower knob has two parts. The Large part is for manual tuning. The Smaller outer knob is for activating the motor driven tuning. The metal lever changes the THREE Bands and the Dial Faces. The Case has been meticulously brought back to Original Color Tones and has a Lusters Clear Coat. All Wood Knobs are Original and are without chips or cracks.Operating Voltage is 115 VAC. Using an existing hole in the chassis I have installed an RCA Jack. It affords the use of any play back device such as an MP3 Player.
