FULL CHASSIS SERVICE as offered here includes most of the common age-related issues including chassis cleaning, tube testing (tube replacement at extra cost), replacement of all paper and bumblebee caps as well as electorlytics (ceramic caps and mica caps are not routinely replaced), switches and contacts are cleaned and lubricated, dial cords are replaced, and full IF and RF alignment is included. If you elect to send the entire radio, I will test peripherals such as the Wavemagnet and telescopic antennas, connecting cables, etc. At no extra cost unless repairs are needed. No extra cost repairs will be billed without prior approval.
All replacement parts including vacuum tubes will be approved in advance and billed as extra charges. Cosmetics include cleaning and deodorizing of the cabinet, repair of minor structural and fabric covering repairs, full re-dye of the case, polishing and clear-coating of all brass fixtures, and cleaning and polishing of plastic trim. I do not currently offer leather restoration services. 2 PACK YOUR RADIO SECURELY in a sturdy container to avoid damage in transit. 3 Enclose any observations, notes, symptoms, or areas you want special attention for. 4 Following my initial inspection, I will notify you of my assessment and notify you of anything out of the ordinary. If you send the entire set, I will perform final tweaking on it in the cabinet at no extra charge. No on-going warrantey is offered due to the age of vintage electronic equipment.
